2026 Gopher Control Program Update

Spring is on its way - and so are the gophers!

The 2026-27 Gopher Control Program through SARM has not yet been released, but new program details and resources are expected in April.

In the meantime, please note:

• Keep all receipts for gopher control bait purchases
• Only approved and registered products are eligible (to verify products, visit the Pesticide Label Search - Health Canada Website)
• Products must be used within the same season to qualify
• Rozol is most effective when applied early—before alfalfa begins to grow. Once plants are active, their natural B12 can reduce the effectiveness of the bait. For best results, bait in early spring while vegetation is still dormant

Program Access:

• Once the program is released, details will be shared through the RM website, Facebook page, and at RM office
• Claim forms will be available online, at the RM office, or through our Pest Control Officer - Peter Ksyniuk
• Claim deadline: July 31, 2026
