Short-Term Cow Elk Hunting Opportunity – November 20 to 27, 2025
The Government of Saskatchewan is offering an additional opportunity for licensed hunters this fall: a short-term antlerless elk season in the southern half of the province, running from November 20 to 27, 2025. This season is designed to address the concerns raised by landowners and agricultural producers about the high number of elk in agricultural zones.
The program’s success rests with landowners granting access to their land. Please encourage your constituents – especially those producers who have been impacted by wildlife damage - to post signage on their property with their contact information so interested hunters can get in touch with them.
