Snow Not to be Placed on Municipal Right-of-Way

Snow from private driveways shall not be placed on the municipal road or right of way. It is prohibited to plow snow from driveways onto or across municipal roads as per Bylaw 2 of 2009 – A Bylaw to Regulate Activities and Things In or On Municipal Roads.

 

Accidents and damage caused by snow piles placed on the municipal road or right of way may result in liability to the property owner.

 

Anyone found in contravention of Bylaw 2 of 2009, may be subject to a fine as per Bylaw No 1 of 2025 - A Bylaw to Establish Penalties for Contravention of Bylaws.
