APAS Updates

1. Register now for APAS District meetings: Just a reminder that APAS will be holding District meetings for APAS Representatives and APAS Group/Associate members over the next few weeks. If you haven’t already, please click here and fill out a short registration form (it takes about 60 seconds) to let us know which District Meeting you’ll attend.


Districts 3 & 6 – Wednesday, March 27 from 10:00am-2:00pm in Kindersley (Elks Hall)

Districts 1 & 2 – Tuesday, April 2 from 10:00am-2:00pm in Weyburn (McKenna Hall)

Districts 4 & 5 – Friday, April 5 from 10:00am-2:00pm in Manitou Beach (Manitou Springs Resort)


2. APAS response to the provincial Budget: On March 20, APAS Directors and staff attended multiple pre-Budget briefing events in Regina, plus we attended the presentation of the 2024/25 provincial Budget in the Legislature. Our Directors did multiple media interviews after the Budget was released, and you can click here to read our press release from earlier today.


3. Ian interviewed by CBC about April 1 carbon tax increase: On March 17, Ian Boxall (APAS President) was interviewed on CBC’s Rosmary Barton Live about the upcoming carbon tax increase on April 1, and what the impact will be on Saskatchewan’s producers.
