Upcoming Public Hearing

There are several Zoning Bylaw amendments that will be advertised in the Prince Albert Daily Herald on February 17 and February 24.  It is a requirement of Planning and Development to readvertise.  They are as follows:

Bylaw 11 of 2023 – The purpose for the amendment is to allow for clarification on animal units permitted, the addition of domestic pet definition, to align the of number of livestock permitted and property minimum and maximum size allowances for the various zoning districts, and the addition of permitted small poultry flock in country residential zoning.

Bylaw 12 of 2023 – The purpose for the amendment is to remove the requirement of placing a poster onsite of a discretionary use application.  It is also to allow for rate payers that have completed a discretionary use application and approval for a garden suite if the situation has not changed to sign a new agreement for a 24-month term after the previous 24-month period has past versus having to complete a new discretionary use application for the same garden suite.

Bylaw 2 of 2024 – The purpose of the amendment is to allow for an increase from the permitted 150m2 combined area of all accessory buildings in the Hamlet, Residential, and Country Residential Districts to now be based on property size.  There are no modifications for the Agricultural, Commercial, or Industrial Districts.

Bylaw 3 of 2024 *new*- The purpose of the amendment is to allow for an increase in the number of Free-Standing Signs permitted in Highway Commercial and Industrial Districts.  The permitted number of signs will now be based on the frontage of the property.  There are no modifications to the Agricultural, General Commercial, Hamlet, Residential, and Country Residential Districts.
